I cannot recommend Dave & Meredith Miller with Blaze Adventure Tours enough! They are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Their events are well thought out and organized. Dave’s passion for viticulture and history, and Meredith’s killer charcuterie skills far exceeded my expectations for this Hike & Sip event. I can’t wait to join them for more adventures!!
I was part of an all-women Learn How to Backpack overnight trip in Shenandoah National Park, a collaboration between Blaze and Girls Who Hike Virginia. The three Blaze guides were obviously knowledgeable and capable while still being encouraging and creating a safe space to learn new skills. The pre-trip briefings were thorough and very helpful; I followed their advice and was well prepared for my first backpacking trip. I would trust them and use them for a future trip.
Blaze Adventures Tours in partnership with Girls Who Hike Virginia provided an opportunity for me to check an experience off my bucket list, while empowering me to pursue backpacking in the future with confidence. They possess the knowledge and experience to push boundaries, while maintaining safety and respect for the outdoors. it was great to be able to experience backpacking without the initial investment in all of the gear and equipment. There was plenty of communication before, during, and after the weekend. I never felt caught in the dark or off-guard.
Highly recommend Blaze Adventure Tours!! We did a cycling tour from Cumberland to DC with Dave as our guide. What an amazing adventure we had! The ride was great and Dave took such great care of us. He made sure we had anything we could need and provided amazing guidance and expertise. We will be repeat customers, for sure!
Meredith is an excellent guide and a great outdoor companion. She led a group of woman hikers from across the state on a beginner expedition through part of Shenandoah National Park and it was an unforgettable experience. She is very knowledgeable about everything outdoors: safety equipment, reading maps, outdoor cooking, setting up camp—you name it, she knows it. This was my first time backpacking and she made me feel like I could do it again and again. She really made me feel more comfortable, confident, and safe in the outdoors. Highly recommend going on an adventure with Blaze Adventure Tours!
This was my first (but not last) backpacking trip with Blaze Adventures, and I highly recommend going with them! Meredith was a rockstar! She was knowledgeable and very patient with us! Definitely, I will sign up for more adventures with them!
The Blue Ridge Parkway trip is wonderful. Truly enjoyed being in the mountains and the challenge of riding along this beautiful roadway. I’m an older rider and questioned my ability to ride the mountains, but with some pre-training it was doable and a very rewarding experience. David is a great trip leader, who shares his passion for the parkway and riding with enthusiasm. If you enjoy adventure and being outside in nature , this is the trip for you.
Thanks to Blaze Adventure Tours, their owner David Miller, and guide Libby Skinner for a trip of a lifetime!
We started our 9 day cycling adventure in Ashville NC, finished in Charlottesville, VA, rode our bikes over 284 miles and ascended 28,469 feet on the Blue Ridge Parkway, (including the ride up Mt. Mitchell)
We visited many historic sites, saw a ton of wildlife, ate well, and visited a number of breweries and wineries.
Had such an amazing trip with Dave and Meredith!! This was my first ever Bike Tour, and they thought of EVERYTHING. If you're a beginner who wants to try something new and feel safe/supported while you do it... join their next tour!!
The group was so fun and the logistics were handled entirely by the Blaze Adventure Tour Team, so it was basically a no stress adventure.
Would recommend to anyone with a passion for biking and the outdoors.
